Playdate with Grandma

Luke played so nicely with his sister, Krista. He was a great big brother here.

Kayla loves playing with the kitchen set. She was content here for quite some time in her own little world.

Surprise! Grandma wants another picture of these two. We all had such a wonderful day.

After the bridal shower on Saturday, and a very busy Monday, grandma was tired. But I didn't want to give up my day to play with these three very special children. They were so happy to come to our house and just play.
Following lunch the girls went down for a nap. Luke snuggled into grandma and grandpa's bed and watched a movie. He was so delighted to sit there with our dog, Mollie. It was fun to peek into the room and have him just be beaming with joy.
It was a fun day by all. No matter how tired I become, they re-energize me. It makes me truly happy that we can have these days together. Grandma's days are so very special!!

Bridal Shower

Last Saturday we had a bridal shower held here at our house. It was for Sherry, a gal from the Southside RPC. She is marrying one of our guys, who we think is pretty special. He thinks of Bob as his spiritual father, and we are very proud of the man that God has turned him into and look forward to how he will be used by Him.
Jerri made this cake for the shower. It was as fantastic as it looked. She is also making the wedding cake.

Here is the lovely couple. My battery was going, so this photo doesn't do them justice. We invited Ryan to arrive just as Sherry was going to open the presents. It was a pleasant surprise for her. Their story is very special, and they hold a corner in my heart that is just for them.

Morning at Columbian Park & Zoo

Even in the most busiest weeks of life, it always does my heart good to spend time with these precious gifts from God. Below are snapshots of my morning today. I hope you enjoy them, as I surely did. There were memories made today, and I will always treasure them in my heart. They are indeed my jewels.

Ready for the adventures of the morning.

Here we go! This is such a nice park for 3 little ones and 1 grandma. We have such fun here.

Let me down too, grandma!!!

FROGMAN!!

There is more than water and animals at the zoo. Kayla graciously allowed her brother and sister to look through the holes. What a sweetie!

Brother loves to tease sister, but then it is in his genes.
[Keep viewing, there is more. :-)]

The littlest miss had to share the fun. Now you see why they had to dry out during lunch!!

After playing in the water, it was time for a snack. What better place for that than by the monkey cage. They were very active today, which made them fun to watch.

This isn't a good picture, but I wanted to share it anyway.

Future farmer!? Certainly a ham.

We tried to get a photo of the ducks fishing, but my camera was too slow. I have had to use my old one, thus the less than good pictures. But they still capture the moment!

The zoo has a world with water flowing all around it. They all enjoyed it.

We ended our great time at Frozen Custard across the street from the zoo. Luke and Kayla ate a hot dog and then decided to try 'pink' custard. They loved it!! Can you tell?

Fun Times with the Darlings!

It has been a while since my last blog. I don't have a good reason. I just didn't feel like writing. A couple of weeks ago I went to see Luke at the pool for his last swim lesson. He did such a great job. I was so proud of him. Then the three jewels came back with me. We played on the slip and slide, at macaroni & cheese (see Krista!), and they went to bed here while mom and dad went out.

Then they went to Texas with their folks. What nerve, to take my babies away for over a week! They had a great time with Nana and the rest of the family though. They are now back, and I can't wait to get my hands on them. They just make my days so much brighter.

Enjoy the pictures, and I will try and do better blogging. Sorry about that Elizabeth. I know how much I love keeping in touch via your blog, so better days ahead. It may be the end of the week though because my folks are due here any minute.
